Ryan Wilkerson, President and CEO

Ryan Wilkerson is president and CEO of Haas & Wilkerson Insurance. Since 1937 Haas & Wilkerson Insurance, an independently owned insurance agency, has specialized in providing risk management and insurance solutions for businesses all over the country.

Ryan joined Haas & Wilkerson Insurance in 1999 as a sales executive in the commercial insurance division. In 2004 Ryan succeeded his father, Bill Wilkerson, as president and CEO, becoming the third generation Wilkerson to direct the agency founded by his grandfather, Ralph Wilkerson. Under Ryan’s leadership, Haas & Wilkerson Insurance continues to grow and focus on delivering excellent customer service.

Ryan was born and raised in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. After graduating from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications, he joined the family business. He is an active participant in the Young Presidents’ Organization, the Entrepreneurs’ Organization and the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers. Today he resides in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, with his wife, Christina, and two children, Mallory and Garrett.

Mark Soukup, Chief Financial Officer

Mark Soukup is the chief financial officer of Haas & Wilkerson Insurance. Since 1937 Haas & Wilkerson Insurance, an independently owned insurance agency, has specialized in providing risk management and insurance solutions for businesses all over the country.

Mark joined Haas & Wilkerson Insurance in 2005. He leads the agency’s financial team and works with the president in many operational matters. Mark has been dedicated to streamlining the organization’s structure as well as its financial and business processes to enhance customer service, create opportunities and reduce costs. He has been instrumental in ensuring the agency is using technology to the fullest advantage. He and the other team leaders are focused on developing people, processes and culture centered on sustainable organic growth.

Mark came to the agency after a 20-year career with the national accounting firm of RSM McGladrey. Mark’s career with RSM started in Des Moines, Iowa, as a management consultant. His areas of expertise includes finance, operations, process improvement, accounting and management information systems, planning, and compensation. His experience covers a wide range of industries including professional services and insurance. He completed his career with RSM after holding positions as CFO for the Charlotte, North Carolina, offices and then as CFO for the Des Moines, Iowa, and Kansas City, Missouri, locations.

Mark was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is a graduate of Iowa State University where he majored in accounting with an emphasis of study in computer science and management information systems. He was certified as a management consultant in 1996 and has been a member of both the Institute of Management Consultants and the Institute of Management Accountants. Today he resides in Overland Park, Kansas, with his wife, Beth, and three children, Kelsey, Taylor and Courtney.
